One little corner where this world meets the next

About
Connie J Cartisano
My relationship with God as sovereign and friend lends a creative outlook to the books and studies I write. This perspective has been almost 50 years in the making, since I led my first Bible study in college in the late 1970s. Through the years, painful disappointments with the institutional church have forced me to rethink what I was taught about God, and reconcile it with what Scripture makes known about him. He is far kinder and wiser than I was led to believe. The books and services we offer are intended to help people study the Bible for themselves.

A Place to Think
A Place to Create
A Place to Belong
Our crazy busy world is fun. It’s good. We‘re super-active. Doing the things we enjoy energizes us. We wouldn’t stop if we could.
But is that really true?
A Place to Think
Often as not, we find ourselves trapped by the very things that used to be delightful. We fell in love and got married. Now we want a divorce. We interviewed for the dream job and got hired. Now our laptop is permanently open to a job search site. We hunted for the perfect house and moved in. Now we resent all that fancy landscaping.
It’s not that we aren’t grateful. We’ve just lost touch with the joy.
So here in this place, we offer the chance to stop and think—without prejudice. Consider what makes life sweet to you. Strategize next steps. Or learn the secret of contentment.
Stay as long as you like. Come back often.
A Place to Create
As you linger, you will find friends. Ideas you like and ideas you hate. People who get you. Some people who never will.
That’s just the thing. Here we believe that everyone has something good to offer the world. You may not know what it is. You may not be ready to share it yet. Still, it is in you, and you know it. But what to do about it?
So here in this place, we offer the chance to create your gift—without disapproval. Explore its potential. Develop your purpose. The world needs what you have to offer, so make it your best work.
Stay as long as you like. Come back often.
A Place to Belong
Sometimes we need a little encouragement. Happily-ever-after turns out to be a fairy tale. Make-your-dream-come-true is a recipe for disaster. The comforts of home, such as they were, fade into the mists of yesteryear and are gone. We are broken, disillusioned, without hope and without God in the world.
So here in this place, we offer the chance to belong—without conditions. You matter. Even if no one ever told you so, it is true. This world would not be the same without you. Be welcome. Be known. Belong.
Stay as long as you like. Come back often.
